The goal of the operation is to develop and implement technological and marketing innovation in the area of agricultural product safety management as well as introduction of safe agricultural products for sale. As part of the project, a modern measuring system will be developed and implemented to detect the presence of pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits. A mobile (non-laboratory) diagnostic system will allow quick and low cost measurement of pesticide content in agricultural products at the place of production.
As a result of the operation, the manufacturer will receive a tool that allows cost-effective testing of pesticide residues at the place of production for further optimization of production and harvest management. Thus, provide the customer with the highest quality product.
In addition, a reduction in the consumption of pesticide residues is expected, along with food and drinking water, as well as the protection of environment against the harmful effects of pesticide use.
The new product line “pesticide content tested” proposed in this project will be a great alternative for consumers who, by purchasing accordingly labeled fruits and vegetables produced in a traditional way, will be ensured about lack of residues of plant protection products in it. There is currently no fruit and vegetable product line on the Polish market labeled: “pesticide content tested”.
